Deuterium Lamp and Tungsten Lamp

Deuterium and tungsten lamps are used for UV-visible spectrophotometer. Deuterium lamp services as UV light source in UV-visible spectrophotometer, the wavelength range of the light it emits is generally 190 ~ 400nm. Deuterium lamp has a characteristic line in 486.0nm, 583.0nm, 656.1nm, often used as a theoretical wavelength value of the calibration instrument. A deuterium lamp uses a tungsten filament and anode placed on opposite sides of a nickel box structure designed to produce the best output spectrum. Wavelength range of the tungsten lamp is 320 ~ 2500nm, spectral peaks can be estimated on the basis of light color, probably between 700nm ~ 1000nm. Overall, the deuterium lamp is a discharge lamp, luminous efficiency is relatively high. Tungsten lamp is tungsten filament lamp, generally refers to the high-power tungsten filament lamp.
