Tungsten Wire Application - Car Cigarette Lighter
Tungsten Wire Application - Car Cigarette Lighter
Tungsten wire application is car cigarette lighter heating wire. All cars have a cigarette lighter initially designed to power an electrically heated cigarette lighter. Current is 12-volt DC (different models are different), intermediate elastic head is the positive electrode, both sides snap (ears) are the anode. It is directly connected with the car battery. The circuit of cigarette lighter is complex, and the manufacturing cost is relatively high. Tungsten wire cigarette lighter is simple, stable, safe with low cost. The main parts of the cigarette lighter structure are an electric coil, whose material is tungsten wire because it has a good winding performance, does not sag, high temperature performance and processing performance. Electric heating coil poles are connected to the corresponding power supply anode and cathode.
Tungsten wire cigarette lighter is a metal or plastic cylinder containing a thin flat coil of tungsten metal, through which high current (~10 amperes) passes when the device is activated, usually by pushing it into the socket as though it were a push-button. When pushed in, the lighter is held against the force of a spring by a clip attached to a bi-metallic strip. The heating element glows orange hot in seconds, causing the bi-metallic strip to bend and release the mechanism, and the handle pops out, eliminating the need for the smoker to time the heating operation. If the lighter is then promptly removed from its socket, it can light a cigarette, cigar, or tinder.
