Tungsten Wire Application - Blow Dryer
Tungsten wire application is as a blower heating wire to emit hot wind. A blow dryer or hair dryer is an electromechanical device designed to blow normal or hot air over damp hair, in order to accelerate the evaporation of water particles and dry the hair. It is composed of tungsten wire and a small fan. When energized, the heating wire generates heat, the wind blowing fan pass the heating wire and becomes hot. When the air passing, if tungsten wire installed in the heating bracket of the mouth have been heated, the wind would become hot wind. Blow dryers allow better control over the shape and style of hair, by accelerating and controlling the formation of temporary hydrogen bonds inside each strand.
The reason for choosing the tungsten wire as the heating element blow is that only the melting point of tungsten can up to 3400℃, tungsten has the highest melting point, and has a high temperature, corrosion resistance, low thermal expansion coefficient, good winding performance, and it would not droop. Some blow dryer heating elements are composed by a two-stage or three-stage heating wire to adjust the temperature, is controlled by the selector switch. Wave-shape tungsten wire is in favor of uniform heating and it has long life time. From the theoretical reason, a blow dryer can not blow hot air is because that tungsten wire have been thinner with smaller resistance, the heating capacity becoming weaker for a long time using.
