WL15 Lanthanated tungsten electrode
Introduction
Containing 1.3% to 1.7% lanthanum oxide of tungsten electrode can be the known as WL15 lanthanated tungsten electrode. W is the abbreviation of Wolfram, L represents lanthanum oxide. Its electrode tip color is golden yellow. Lanthanum oxide in the electrodes can extend its life, but at the time of delivery of lanthanum oxide, the operator must pass rigorous specialized training. It’s better to wear gas masks, safety glasses, anti-static overalls, rubber gloves and make other protective measures.
Trademark
Lanthanum tungsten electrode is used to replace thorium tungsten electrode in most applications. WL15 lanthanum tungsten electrode has lanthanum oxide content of 1.3% to 1.7%. Content of other impurities is less than 2.0%.

Characteristic
Electron work function of lanthanum tungsten electrode WL15 is 2.7-2.8eV, which is similar to thorium tungsten electrode, and the most important is that it has not radioactive damage. Compared to thorium tungsten electrode, this electrode arc performance and burning resistant will be better. Another advantage is that its durable current is high but the burn rate is very small, so the lanthanum tungsten electrode enjoys a great popular in Asia, Europe, America and Japan and other countries. Tests showed that conductivity of lanthanum tungsten WL15 is the closest to WL20 thorium tungsten electrode, welder can easily replace electrode without adjusting the parameters of the device.
Packing
Each tungsten electrode packed in plastic case, 10 to a plastic case, and its length is 150mm or 175mm, 1000 pieces per box.
