Charateristics
Silver tungsten electrode has excellent welding and corrosion-resistant properties, and it is widely used for industrial and domestic circuit breaker field. If the conductive of Argentum is stronger, then the electrode will has a better weldability. In addition, this type of the electrode also has a strong hardness and resistance welding. It is characteried by a good response in arc erosion resistance and welding resistance and conductive.
Application
Generally, silver tungsten electrode is mainly used in AC welding of aluminum and magnesium alloys. On the other hand, a small amount cobalt of silver tungsten can reduce the ability of the contact resistance to a certain extent.
Manufacturing Process
Because the great differences of physical properties between tungsten and metallic silver, whether it is solid or liquid, both od them can not melt each other, it cannot be produced by ordinary casting method. Nowadays, silver tungsten electrode is formed by the powder metallurgy process. There are also many manufacturers to choose the extrusion method. The general process is: mixing the ingredients-compression molding-sintering retentate solution-cold-working.
