Chemical Composition of Tungsten Needle
The chemical composition of a tungsten needle is primarily high-purity tungsten (W). Depending on the purity grade, the tungsten content typically ranges from 99.90% to 99.999%. Impurity elements such as iron (Fe), molybdenum (Mo), nickel (Ni), copper (Cu), chromium (Cr), manganese (Mn), silicon (Si), aluminum (Al), carbon (C), oxygen (O), nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), and sulfur (S) decrease significantly as purity increases.
In ultra-high-purity tungsten needles, the content of each impurity is generally controlled within 0.001%–0.005%, ensuring excellent mechanical properties, electrical conductivity, and thermal stability.
