Tungsten Electrode Physical Properties
Tungsten electrode is one of tungsten products, and owns most physical properties of tungsten.
Tungsten belongs to the group VI of the periodic table, and the outermost electron arrangement of the atom is 5d46s2, and the oxidation valence is from +2 to +6. Dense tungsten steel gray, coarse particles of tungsten powder was dark gray, until the ultra-fine tungsten powder was black, and all have a metallic luster. Its melting point is 3410 ± 20 ℃, the density of 19.3g/cm3, the boiling point of 5700 ± 200 ℃, the melting point is the highest of all metals. The conductivity of tungsten is good, but electronic work function is small. In terms of mechanical properties of its hardness and tensile strength limit and the processing and heat treatment conditions are closely related to impurity content.
