Tapered Tungsten Crucible

Tapered tungsten crucible is a high-temperature refractory container made of high-purity tungsten for vacuum melting, high-purity material preparation, and crystal growth applications, featuring a tapered structure that improves melt flow and discharge behavior, enabling more concentrated and smoother melt movement while reducing adhesion and residue formation.

Tapered tungsten crucible features a sidewall with a certain inclination angle compared with cylindrical tungsten crucible and is not a standard geometric cone. It adopts a variable wall-angle design intended to optimize thermal field distribution and melt flow behavior, enabling smoother and more concentrated melt movement under gravity, thereby improving melt pool morphology and interface stability. The cone angle can be adjusted according to equipment thermal field conditions and installation requirements to achieve better process compatibility.
